Physical activity is one of the best ways to boost energy. However you have to have enough energy to begin with to perform physical activity. The reason physical activity generates energy is because exercise increases your heart rate and blood flow, making you feel awake.

It’s one of the many benefits of working out. Unfortunately at times the mere fact of doing physical activity may get you tired from the exercise. This is especially common when a person doesn’t get enough sleep a night before, after over-training, long distance runs, or after high-intensity workouts.

However you have to have enough energy to begin with to perform physical activity.

Physical activity, after all, requires a lot of energy and stamina. If you feel tired after a workout, you may want to reassess your sleep habits and also leave some time to take a 10 to 20-minute nap during the day. In general, feeling sleepy after exercise isn’t a cause for alarm.

The proper nutrition and supplementation is highly important to avoid unusual tiredness, however it’s normal to feel tired after physically exerting yourself. High-intensity interval training, long distance runs, intense and prolonged workouts, high impact workouts and cross training workouts will rob you of the reserve minerals in your body.

Replacing your electrolytes as well as taking vitamins minerals and protein after an intense workout is extremely important. If you have issues with getting extremely tired or crashing after workouts, it might be a good idea to tone down those workouts, do something in the lighter side and slowly add to your workout as your stamina improves.

One must keep in mind that everyone is different and has different nutritional habits, sleeping habits and stresses in their lives.

There are many factors that will determine how tired or energetic you will feel after a workout some of those factors are as following:

* Your Fitness Level

* Your Daily Nutrition

* Your Level Of Hydration

* Type Of Exercise You Are Performing

* Duration, Intensity, And Frequency of the Exercise

* Underlying Medical Conditions

* How Much Sleep You Got the Night Before
